We are seeing Kanaka Maoli reconnecting to their aina through participation in, spiritual and cultural practices known widely as “Protocol”. A daily ritual of Pule, Mele, Oli and Hula which takes place on the Mauna at (8AM, 12PM, 5:30PM) and, is proving to be the glue that binds us. It is apparent, the relationship between culture and aina has been made and, we are witnessing what can only be described as, the rise of a Lahui (Nation).
